Description
Gibraltar is unlike any other place in Spain because it is not Spain. It is British territory, drives on the left, speaks English, and has wild monkeys in the streets. A geographical and historical anomaly stretching two and a half kilometers, nestled between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, where two continents gaze at each other less than fourteen kilometers apart and where military history, geology, and biodiversity converge in a space that has no equivalent in Europe.
Our excursion departs from Granada at 9:00 AM from the Plaza Mariana Pineda with an expert guide throughout the journey. Our itinerary covers the most representative points of the Rock: the ascent to 400 meters at the summit, where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic merge on the horizon; the encounter with the Barbary macaques, the only wild primates on the European continent; the Moorish Castle built by the Merinid dynasty between the 13th and 15th centuries; the Great Siege Tunnels excavated during World War II for the defense of the Rock; the St. Michael's Caves, geological formations that the Romans identified as the edge of the known world; and Main Street, the commercial heart of the city with duty-free shops and the cultural mix that defines Gibraltar.
What you will see
