Description
The Albaicín and the Sacromonte are the two most characterful neighborhoods of Granada and also the ones that best preserve the memory of the city before 1492. The first was for centuries the heart of Muslim Granada, with an urban layout of narrow streets, cármenes and small squares that UNESCO declared World Heritage. The second is the gypsy neighborhood that shaped Granada's flamenco, a style of deep art that was born in these caves dug into the slope of the Sacromonte and that is still alive in its tablaos.
Our free tour covers the two neighborhoods in a single uphill itinerary with an expert guide, going up from the historic center to the Mirador de San Nicolás and continuing toward the valley of Valparaíso and the heart of the Sacromonte. The tour combines the historical reading of the Moorish layout with the legends and the unique character of each corner. The price is free, at the customer's discretion at the end of the tour.
