Arab Baths at Hammam Al Ándalus in Granada with 30-Minute Massage

For centuries the hammam in Al Ándalus was more than a place to bathe. It was the space where public and private life met, where the body rested and conversation flowed between steam and hot water. The Hammam Al Ándalus revives that ritual in a building constructed on the ruins of an old 16th-century hammam, located in the very heart of the historic center of Granada, just steps from Plaza Nueva and at the foot of the Alhambra.

The MIMMA 30 option combines the full thermal circuit with a 30-minute relaxing massage using an oil with your choice of Al Ándalus aromas. The water route alternates between the cold, warm and hot pools to stimulate circulation and relax the muscles, completed with the steam room and the rest room with mint tea. The massage can be received at the beginning, middle or end of the circuit. The staff will let you know when it is your turn. A one-and-a-half-hour session that ends with the skin imbued with the aromas of the botanical cosmetics of El Jardín de Hammam.

What you will see

1. Thermal water circuit: three pools at different temperatures, cold at 18°C, warm at 36°C and hot at 40°C, following the tradition of the classic Arab bath in a space lit with soft light and Andalusian music.
2. Steam room: humid atmosphere and fragrant aromas that complete the thermal experience and promote deep relaxation.
3. Mint tea: served in the rest room between baths, following the custom of the traditional hammam.
4. MIMMA 30 massage: 30-minute relaxing massage with an oil of your choice among the fragrances of El Jardín de Hammam, Pasión de Azahar, Ámbar Sensual, Nenúfar Mágico, Abrazo de Jazmín and others.
5. Nasrid architecture: space built on an original 16th-century hammam, in the very heart of Granada's historic center just steps from Plaza Nueva and the Alhambra.

Practical information

1. Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes, massage included within the session.
2. Address: Calle Santa Ana, 16, Granada. Just steps from Plaza Nueva and at the foot of the Alhambra.
3. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 23:30, with slots every 2 hours.
4. Punctuality: arrive 15 minutes before your assigned slot. Unused time at the start cannot be recovered.
5. Health questionnaire: mandatory to complete in advance. It is sent with the booking confirmation.
6. Swimsuit: required. You may bring your own or buy one at the center.
7. Mixed hammam: all bathing areas are open to men and women. Changing rooms are separate by gender.
8. Medical restrictions: not recommended for pregnant women or people with heart conditions or serious medical problems.
9. Minimum age: 5 years old. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
10. Accessibility: the facility has an elevator, although some bathing areas include steps.
